Large hail and wind threat arrives in our area after 10:30 p.m.

We are watching tornadic storms just south and east of Indianapolis. In Illinois we are keeping an eye on large hail bearing storms with some gusty winds near 45 mph. There have been isolated tornadoes southwest of Champaign. But as this thunderstorm area matures it will turn into a mesoscale convective system over the next couple hours. In this set-up large hail would be Lafayette's main threat. We still may have an isolated high wind gust and of course in a tornado watch we will still have conditions favorable for isolated tornadoes. As of now....large hail and flooding rain head my list of our main threats. Please stay alert and stay tuned.

How about getting better updates on the radar?!? The last few days have been horrible. Tonight, at 10:35 the radar said it had last updated at 10:12...

I'm near Attica and when you're saying tornados are heading this way, I want to be able to see the track.

Thanks for the encouragement, but I think that after this week I really need to seek therapy ! I am overcome with so much fear! Yes, I know my prayers do help, but bad things do still happen to the faithful! The two youngest have finally fallen asleep on the couch and we are ready to grab them up and go if needed ! This weather is driving me mad and my family thinks I am CRAZY ! I am just so scared !!! Holy candle has been lit all day, I think that I need to see Fr. Tim to get more!! Stay safe to all of you and say your prayers !!
