Quit teasing!

We always get gipped on the heavy snow and the powerful storms.

Unless something manages to stir up on the backside of this low pressure cell, most of the precipitation is well south of us.

Mike is typically wrong with any weather event, so it would be shocking if he came anywhere close to the estimates. If you look at the maps now, there is no snow for two states west of us.

The snow has stopped here in Williamsport!! Bummer!!

I agree that Mike is typically wrong with any weather event. Too bad so many things have already been cancelled based upon his forecast.

Well...if it turns out he is wrong...the National Weather Channel will be wrong too!

I hope he's right, be nice to have a reason to take a day off. (completely)

Give him a break guys...really the worst is yet to come TONIGHT...

If Mike is wrong, everyone is likely wrong. Everyone uses the same basic models and input data with a few tweaks here and there. From the NWS..."SNOW WILL CONTINUE THIS AFTERNOON. THE SNOW MAY MIX WITH SLEET AND OR FREEZING RAIN FOR A TIME. THE MIXTURE WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE EVENING HOURS. A TRANSITION BACK TO ALL SNOW IS EXPECTED AFTER MIDNIGHT. THE SNOW MAY BE HEAVY AT TIMES AFTER MIDNIGHT TONIGHT. BY MIDDAY SUNDAY 6 TO AS MUCH AS 10 INCHES OF SNOW WILL FALL. THE HEAVIEST SNOW WILL FALL NORTH OF A CRAWFORDSVILLE TO MUNCIE LINE", which is basically the same as Mike's own prediction.

I dont think its that he is wrong I think that the weather can change in an instant, tracks can change, there are so many variables thats why meteorologist rely on many models to help them forecast what is probable.

I dont think its fair to say that he is wrong, its just indiana weather.

Thanks for the info Mike! Keep us updated!

It would just be nice to know WHEN the snow is coming?? We have somewhere to go tonight and really need to know if the weather will be safe for driving. It's been almost 3 hours since we've had an update from Mike. I hope he's still with us!!

My family too....but he has already warned...don't go... at least without a cell phone and emergency kit.

the low pressure is still pretty far away watch the gulf of mexico work its magic get your shovel ready and if you go anywhere once it starts you better head home everyone on here must be new to the area because this is like the new years storm 1999 everyone was like hey its not going to snow and then they were stranded for 3 days guess they should of listened to their weatherman huh

It is going to snow-be patient! The radar is starting to "fill-in" in Illinois, so be prepared!
