Happy Birthday Julie & Meemaw! Happy October!

This is a BIG DAY in the Prangley family. It is my wife Julie's birthday. You see my best two friends above! If you see her in the hallways at work please give her a nice warm smile and birthday wish. She deserves it and even though she is not into birthdays all that much she deserves some attention. Julie is always busy doing great things for others. She IS not just my better half but my guardian angel. She certainly has to be an angel to be married to me, that is for sure. :) Yes she is very independent and a middle child, but those things make her special. I can always count on her to go shopping in severe weather and she loves bringing me food when I am at the station no matter if it is raining, snowing, or hailing. She delivers! I always tell her that I would rather her stay in her safe spot at home but that is just not her style. Julie is the kind of person that you can always cherish as a friend. No matter how busy she is she takes time for you. This is why her birthday gift includes a nice trip ALONE to Florida just to spend time with her friends. The best part of it is that it is not a one-way trip like she probably needs, but a two-way trip so she can rescue me after a few days. So watch out, my real marathon is about to begin! I always have this blog to turn to if things get out of hand. I will have updates to let you know about the storm that is about to take over my house when she leaves.

The great part about October first is that it is also my Meemaw's birthday. There is just something about October first babies. My grandmother is also a very independent, loving person that has always made me feel special, whether it be with kind words or those great ham and tomato sandwhiches. I still call her every Sunday and sometimes even sing Hail to the Redskins to her. I will never forget our Sunday dinners back in Maryland and those big family get-togethers. Those were the golden days when families seemed to not be as far apart as they are today and when life was never too busy to spend quality time with family. I look to hand down to my kids what my Meemaw instilled in me and that is to always put God and family first! The rest just kind of falls into place. God bless you Julie and Meemaw! Happy Birthday to both of you!

Now both Julie and my Meemaw like warm weather so part of their birthday gifts will be the warm weather I have ordered up for them. Now I am not worried about Meemaw since she lives in Florida. But Julie on the other hand is ready for some 70s and I do have them back in the forecast by this weekend. Here is an October forecast you see above and notice Lafayette is between the cooler and warmer than average weather. This means a wild ride is on the way! I wil check back with more on this later today. Make it a good one and we will also take a look at our weather proverb that deals with us having a big snowstorm on November 14th.

Nice! So when you are talking "wild ride" I hope you are talking about snow and not any of that severe stuff that we grew tired of earlier this year.

Am I the only one that saw "ham and tomato sandwhiches" and read "ham and tornato sandwhiches"? Talk about a double-take....
