We Should Dodge the Worst of the Flooding & Wintry Precipitation

Checking in quickly....it is busy with flood watches and winter storm watches...I think we could see a little freezing drizzle by late tonight, but I think the worst of the icing will be south of a Crawfordsville to Frankfort and Kokomo line. A burst of heavy snow will be our main threat tomorrow afternoon and evening with a quick 2 to 3 inches likely in many areas. Small shifts of the storm track could bring more ice or snow or very little in the way of ice and snow. This is how it stacks up now with the eastern trend winning and sparing us the worst of flooding and icing! I will keep you posted so make sure to stay tuned!

Thanks for the quick update. I hope you are correct, about how this rain/sleet/snow is tracking. Right now, next to the Wabash and seeing how quickly it is rising - and how the rain is not letting up - it feels like we may flood (again).

Fingers crossed, and I hope you are right - I will take the snow - ANYTHING but rain right now.

We too, in Remington are watching radar and Carpenter's Creek rise once again. Actually the flooding now is from snow melt. We have had just .25 inches of rain. Thanks for keeping track WLFI!

The NWS issued a winter storm warnig, do you still think we will avoid most of the ice and snow?

look out people if he says we are not gonna get anything then this is the time to get ready for the big one. my new approach to his forcast abilities is to expect the exact opposite of what he predicts! Get ready it gonna get messy!

I am starting to get just a little concerned...It has been sleeting at my place (10 miles south of Laf) since 6:40...wasn't this stuff supposed to get here late tonight. Has the track of the storm made a swift change?
