Another Round of Rain then a Big Dose of Brisk Breezes on Friday

We had a few showers around the area this morning as expected and now the sun is out! We need more rain. Do not worry more is on the way even if the sun has popped . This may actually help our rain chances. Find out why during our noon weathercast. I will also have the latest on the timing and of course I will have a blog update this afternoon. Have a great day.

This afternoon here comes the second line as forecasted. The little bit of sunshine added enough instability to the atmosphere where we are seeing about 30 lightning strikes per hour near Lake City with rainfall  rates at about an inch per hour. The good news is that severe weather is not looking likely at this time, but we will continue to monitor the situation for you. Bring on the rain. Allow a little extra time driving home with the heaviest rain expected during the evening commute. Rain will likely not taper off until late tonight so if you have any softball or soccer practice it will likely be postponed. Most of us should see at least another .25" to .50" of rain before all is said and done.
