Big Rain Gives Way to Interesting Caterpillars

Don't want to blow your surprise Mike, but isn't a old folklore where the severity and/or length of the winter can be determined by its colors?

Morning all I woke up and checked out the rain gauge and we got another .55" inch of rain thank goodness the yard needed it.

Wow, just checked out the radar and we've some more rain coming. Looks like Monticello should get wet before Laf does.

Ya Brow more rain on the way maybe a small line of thunderstorms as well. Will just have to keep watch.

As of now we here in Lafayette my start to see some rain by around 3:10pm or so. The clouds are only at around 400ft to 450ft so right now it dose not look to bad. Another thing is there is not to many new lightning strikes so thats a good sign.

Here by the fairgrounds we are seeing a light rain right now.

The rain is now starting to stop here by the fairgrounds I got a total rainfall of .20".

Just got off work, very heavy heavy rain at Jeff High School, just as school got out, once again!

Has died down, however there is a strong cell in IL that needs to be watched.

Looks like that cell with end up being mostly south of us.

Ya maybe south montgomery countie could see some of it. Right now it has MOD wind Hen Egg size hail and very heavy rainfall. Still it should be watched to be safe.

There is a cold front pushing through I have 69.4* and falling.

The cell is showing sign's of weakning there is now little to no wind damage and the hail is now quater size. The cell is still moveing east at around 37 mph.
