Warm Temperatures Aloft Holding Down Ice Accumulations

I just measured .10' of ice here in West Lafayette. The one thing I have noticed is that it is now more soggy than icy and our temperature has risen just above 30 degrees. The tree branches are not really being weighted down or showing signs of ice stress which is excellent. This is a very good sign. I will be back to tell you why shortly.

By the way thanks for staying up with me. I cannot thank you enough for blogging. I just wish you all could be here at WLFI with me. It would be one big weather party! But at least everybody is safer at home and we can get more reports this way. Let me gather up a few maps and radar shots for your enjoyment.
