Just arrived in St. Louis from Laf. The fog was terrible most of the way.

Drove home to S. Newton County from a dr. appt. at Arnett and it was an icky drive!! It often felt like a snowstorm's "white out" which make me state at the center line so I didn't get disoriented. I was going well below the speed limit due to severely restricted visibility and I was really angered by those whizzing past me....they had NO idea what was ahead of them as sometimes the visibility was only right ahead of my front fender. People just do not think...and I don't want to be THEIR casualty. I am so glad I am now home.

No fog in Attica it has been trying to rain!! feels like spring outside!! Love the transition from cold to warm. The ground must be pretty soft also! Scanner went off and said train off of tracks with cars still standing! This would be on the south end of town towards ADM Grain.

HI LME from S Newton County. Did you see my message to you on another thread? I live in Remington, right down US#24. It is good to have a "neighbor" in the county I lived in for more than 30 years. Keep posting!

To you in Rem whose hubby is out in this fog...oh my....hope he is careful, too! It is pea soup out there! Step outside---it is unreal with a temp of 53* and climbing!

Thanks, Teri and Justin for "worrying" about me. Justin, not a river but Carpenter Creek goes right through our property. The flooding last Jan was literally all around us. It is so reminscent of that time and situation---melting ice and snow with a forecast of heavy rains.

I keep checking radar and still see nothing close (just caught the web update!!--thanks MIke!) so will sleep well another night.

Teri and Justin...check the nat'l radar. Storms are starting to fire in MO and IA :-( At least Mike is saying the worst rains will be in IL far west of us. I feel for them as they had a lot of snow recently as well.

Ya Mary Anne Thank you I could not remember if it was a Creek or a River! ;-)

The latest models I have are showing the rain / thunderstorms starting around 7:pm tomorrow night!

You will keep in tuch I hope?
