Back from the Jungle & I Brought Wild Weather With Me

I am just getting back into town from Cincinnati. I had a great time visiting friends and relatives. I also had a chance to cheer on the R
edskins against the Bengals. I can tell you I was very disappointed at how the Redskins played but at the same time I was happy for the Bengal fans that have had very little to cheer about this year. The company and food was so good that I did just tell myself to just let the game go and focus on the positives and their were plenty of them. Paul Brown Stadium was a great place to relax and watch a football game. I highly recommend checking it out if you haven't been there yet. The jungle as they like to call it was full of great fans and people. Now that I am back from the jungle or I feel like I brought some of the jungle with me. Our weather has been as wild as a jungle with a 40 degree temperature drop in only six hours. Check out today's highs!

The high of 57 dropped to 17 from 1 a.m. to 7 a.m. It was unbelieveable. Some folks could not get into the cars this morning because their car doors were frozen shut. Others said their cars looked like they had stained glass or cathedral-type glass covering them due to the freezing drizzle and rain that mixed in. There were a few fender-benders so it is a good thing the TSC schools had their first delays of the year.

When is our next batch of bad weather moving in? It looks like we have another band of snow coming between 3 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Tuesday with the precipitation ending as some freezing drizzle and sleet. So I know this is the time of year when a lot of folks are running around. But please be careful if you are out and about so you can enjoy the holidays. Notice I do have us in a one to two inch snow band before a little ice mixes in. The good news is that ice accumulations should be under a tenth of an inch. The bad news is this will still be enough to cause big problems on the roadways Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday morning. I will be back to talk more about this incredible pattern that may feature another mixed bag of wintry precipitation by late Wednesday. I will also have a White Christmas update! See you soon.

New snowfall amounts are looking closer to an inch possible.

NWS has Tippecanoe Warren Carroll, Clinton Fountain, Cass, Miami, Counties in as Winter weather advisory Till 2:am Wednesday! Now this is not a major snow system with our temperatures being so low all day yesterday and still today any snow that does fall will stick!!!!! And roads will become covered!! With slick spots!! Even more with the sleet on the back side of this system. So a lot going on today and we will see how things play out!
