Perfect Pole Day on the Way Just a Brief Break in Beastly Pattern

Yes! I have survived and it is good to see my wife Julie home. She said it would have been my kind of camping trip with some very nice cabins up a Camp Tecumseh in Brookston. There was an indoor camp fire! Mr. Z my running friend and teacher extraordinaire had a 6:30 a.m. run. I wish I was there! The fifth-graders at Mayflower Mill had a great time. There was canoeing, the suspension bridge, the bullet slide, archery, and an obstacle course. I will try to share a few pics as they come in.

The latest weather models look like we have one obstacle course after another keeping us from much in the way of any prolonged Spring weather. I am glad they got their trip in before the Mother's Day Monster arrives. I think that is a good name for a classic storm that will bring 90s to Texas, snow to the Rocky Mountains, and it may bring Lafayette not only a soggy Sunday, but our chilliest May 11th on record with highs struggling into the lower 50s!

But there is some good news and that is we have picture-perfect weather to start the weekend and that includes pole day! I will post the summer boards on here between newscasts tonight and I am making up a hurricane forecast board I will post this evening. I will also explain why we are in a beastly pattern and I will be taking more names for these storms. I think we should do all "M" names for the month of May and yesterday's storm will be a female....Sunday's storm a male and the middle of next week female. Where do I come up with this stuff? I don't know. I am just having too much fun! It will help us keep track of nature's wrath on the way.
