Tornado Confirmed near West Bedford & More Storms are on the Way

The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has confirmed an EF-3 tornado with wind speeds near 160 mph. A school bus was thrown 75 feet and one house was totally destroyed with just its foundation left. Here in the Lafayette area we had near hurricane force winds rip through the area with lots of damage and debris reported across the area. I will post some pictures here of the damage this evening and talk more about a second round of severe weather on the way. Our next chance of storms will arrive after 3 a.m. Tuesday but I think the best chance of severe weather will once again be late Tuesday and Tuesday night. Damaging wind, large hail, and a few tornadoes will be possible. We are also monitoring the Wabash River and the Tippecanoe River for more flooding on the way. Be ready to move in those normally flood-prone areas. Join me tonight to find out how much rain is on the way.

EF-3 is a pretty decent tornado....and from looking at the damage caused....I am not shocked!

Let's hope that tomorrow night isn't nearly as active!

that is interesting on the wind mills as we drive past them all the time and wondered the same thing. Guess, I need to make more of an effort to check out my fellow bloggers on this weather stuff and say better informed as I had slacked. We had sustained winds but nothing extreme, thank goodness. Will keep an eye on the upcoming weather, thanks all for keeping up the posts.

I hope no one was hurt or at home on the house that got blown off its foundation. I love Spring but despise the storms! Hope tomorrows storms fizzle out.

Okay!
**First Question: I have to work tonight and will be driving home around midnight! I will be the driver and can't close my eyes this time in the event we have storms, so my question is... will it hold off until I get home or do I need to have my hubby on speaker phone ALL THE WAY HOME? Also how much sleep will I get tonight ??
**Second question: Won't the temps be too cool tonight for severe storms and tommorow if we can keep our hopes up that the sun stays behind the clouds even with the arrival of a warm front won't that lessen our chances of severe storms for tommorow ?
I HATE SPRING & SUMMER !!!!!!!!

Wow the stories of yesterdays storms were going around work!.

A gal I know works At Marsh in West Lafayette. She stated it got really dark then the rain and winds started. The doors of the store blew open, they could not close them due to strong winds, She also said that tiles on the ceiling were moving in a wavy motion and were falling. That a big sign blew off and flew across 52. Then the sun came out and after all was over sirens sounded.

They had no clue as to what was happening. Did have clean up in the store sweeping water that blew in and picking up the mess from the tiles falling..

She is still stressed today. And is very worried about tomorrows storms. Said that yesterdays storm was the worst she had been in.

I know, more stroms on the way,and after 3:00 am/:-( I think I will take a nap, for one I am sleepy from the time change, so were the poor students. Two, I will be up and watching the radars, if storms hit at that time. I just cant rest when I know that possible bad storms are near.

My Heart goes out to those who live in the flood areas.. My prayers are with them.

Carroll County is doing a voluntary evacutation. They have a shelter set up at The Firat Assembly of God in Delphi. I hope everyone stays safe and to head the warnings. Always better to be safe that sorry.

William, hope you see this I will copy it to the newest blog, too. I cant imagine being out IN that wind yesterday! I would have loved to see the blades on those puppies! yes, wind shear for sure.

will you please HURRY up and get a new wx station???? Just kidding but i want to know how much higher the wind speeds are out there compared to here where I am somewaht protected. Do you know anyone in Benton County who might be interested in COCO? would love to have rain amounts and wind speeds from out that way.

Okay Brow, so where will you move to that doesnt have SOME kind of freaky wx going on?>? you find that place and I will move, too LOL.

This happens most spring seasons -- the first round or two of severe storms is enough to scare the waddins out of me and gets me thinking "what the heck is it going to be like when it REALLY gets here???" but i am still alive and had lived through all those storms just fine and am planning to be here, be on the blog talking about them, etc. There is nothing I can do to prevent them from coming, but i do fear if I let my guard down and dont track them, they will "get" me, lol...

I plan to sit right here at the radar helm (I have already got my neighbors on guard who were flooded out last Jan) but FIRST I want to get a pretty decent night's sleep. I detest this time change! Teri, my system is so messed up! Tired in the morning, cant go to bed at night!

To the poster who wants an ETA on storms...didnt Mike say after 3-4AM tomorrow??

Stay safe all!

Even in the most sexually liberated and self-satisfied of nations, many people still yearn to burn more, to feel ready for bedding no matter what the clock says and to desire their partner of 23 years as much as they did when their love was brand new.
The market is saturated with books on how to revive a flagging libido or spice up monotonous sex, and sex therapists say “lack of desire” is one of the most common complaints they hear from patients, particularly women.
