Great to Be Back with Great Weather To Talk About!

Hello....landed in Indianapolis just before 2 p.m. and I am back in the office here at 4 p.m. It is great to be back and I want to thank you for your patience. I am working on a few things here: how much rain is on the way (I think we miss most of it tonight)....will we hit 70 degrees and stay mainly dry Saturday (looking more likely)....and looking at the long-range maps...maybe no cold weather until NEXT weekend!! Woo hoo!! See you soon! Man, I missed you all!! :)

Welcome back!

The warm weather is looking amazing for the races down in Greencastle this weekend! Might rain a little, but that sure beats 30 and sleet!

Glad you are back, Mike. Hope you had a good time. It is 69 degrees in Frankfort right now at my house and very windy. Love the warm!

Welcome back Mike!

When you say cold weather, what kind of cold. It is March now, so our days are limited for cold right? We should have an average around 50.
I think winter has lasted so long, we assume its going to get cold. But what kind of cold. Ah, you gotta love/hate Indiana weather.

Jeff Foxworthy's thoughts on Hoosiers

Forget Rednecks, here
is what Jeff Foxworthy has to say about Hoosiers:

If your local Dairy Queen is closed from September through May,
you may live in Indiana.

If you've worn shorts and a parka at the same time,
you may live in Indiana.

If 'Vacation' means going anywhere south of Muncie for the weekend,
you may live in Indiana.

If you measure distance in hours,
you may live in Indiana.

If you know several people who have hit a deer more than once,
you may live in Indiana.

If you have switched from 'heat' to 'A/C' in the same day and back again,
you may live in Indiana.

If you can drive 75 mph through 2 feet of snow during a raging blizzard without flinching,
you may live in Indiana.

If you install security lights on your house and garage, but leave both unlocked,
you may live in Indiana.

If you carry jumpers in your car and your wife knows how to use them,
you may live in Indiana.

If you design your kid's Halloween costume to fit over a snowsuit,
you may live in Indiana.

If the speed limit on the highway is 55 mph – you’re going 80 and everybody is passing you,
you may live in Indiana.

If driving is better in the winter because the potholes are filled with snow,
you may live in Indiana.

If you know all 4 seasons: almost winter, winter, still winter and road construction,
you may live in Indiana.

If you have more miles on your snow blower than your car,
you may live in Indiana.

If you find 10 degrees 'a little chilly',
you may live in Indiana.

If you actually understand these statements, and forward them to all your Indiana
friends you definitely do live or have lived in Indiana.

I am bad for posting but some is true..

WOW to the above post....and AMEN!! Very WELL SAID! There have been times when I probably have crossed the line with one thing or another....however, I WANTED to many more times than I did. Mike is an exceptional meteorologist. Enough said!

~Welcome Home Mike & The Missus..hope you had a FAB "mini-vacation"..Hopefully SPRING is slowly arriving & that "Snow" will not be mentioned in your blog again until next Winter..hahaha..wishful thinkin on my part I do believe~

~As for the person with nothing "nice" to say..here's a thought:
"Before you open your mouth..make sure it is an improvement upon the silence"~
